When you find a listing marked "Barter" or "Both," click "Propose a Trade" and describe what you'd like to offer in exchange. The seller gets an email with your proposal and can accept or decline with a single click.

If they accept, both parties receive each other's contact info to arrange the swap — shipping details, meetup, whatever works for you.

For cash purchases, all payments go through Stripe. If you don't receive what you paid for, contact us at batch@polsia.app and we'll help resolve it. Stripe's buyer protection applies to all transactions.

For trades/barter, we facilitate the connection but the exchange itself is between you and the other person. We recommend starting with lower-value trades to build trust, and always communicating through BATCH messages so there's a record.

It takes about 30 seconds:

1. Sign up or log in to BATCH
2. Click "List an Item" and pick your hobby category
3. Add a title, description, photo, condition, and whether you want to barter, sell, or both

Your listing goes live immediately — no approval process, no waiting.

Nope — BATCH is open to everyone. We designed the platform with neurodivergent users in mind (clear categories, low-stimulation UI, predictable layouts), but anyone who has hobby supplies to trade or sell is welcome.

Think of it this way: curb cuts were designed for wheelchair users but everyone benefits. Same idea here.

When someone clicks "Buy Now" on your listing, they're taken to a secure Stripe checkout. Once they pay, you'll receive an email notification with the buyer's details so you can arrange shipping.

Payments are processed through Stripe and deposited directly. No complicated payout setup required on your end.

Yes. Listing items is free. Browsing is free. Proposing trades is free. Messaging sellers is free.

For cash sales, standard Stripe payment processing fees apply (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction). We don't charge any additional marketplace fees on top of that.
